All of our high quality garments and accessories are hand-knit by local retired ladies known as The Myssy Grannies. These cheerful ladies are the essence of our brand, knitting their own positive energy and wisdom into every stitch, even hand signing each Myssy piece they finish.
Once a month our knitting circle gathers at the Myssy Headquarters for coffee, gossip, and laughter, sharing the latest knitting tips and introducing new collections.
Cottage industry is a traditional Finnish production method where manufacturing activity is operated out of the home. This production style guarantees our grannies the freedom to determine when and how they work, as every retiree deserves!
For our grannies, knitting is more than just a hobby - it’s a way of life. Through our Myssy community, grannies are able to get new experiences as well as make new friends. And with the money earned from making Myssy garments, our Grannies have been able to explore a host of new opportunities including traveling abroad for the very first time.
At the moment we employ around 90 Grannies and our wait list is filled with more eager knitters ready to make your Myssy!
